He wasn't much of a problem I started off as a vagabond and once you get his attack patterns not much of a problem. I found when he does the lunge and 3 hit sword slam attack good times to land hits as you can just block the stab and if you keep your distance the 3 hit combo is no problem until he goes for the slam. Defeating him anyway felt just nice to do cause he was my first actual boss down besides the godrick soldier after I got destroyed by the guy with the giant wooden staff. I am new to the game and fromsoft games in general so kinda have a skill issue.

Bro the first boss fight is bullshit. If you don’t load in with enough ammo then you are literally fucked there is no way to beat him period. The dodge system does not allow you to attack without being killed. Idk what the devs were going for here? Did they play this fight with limited ammo? Like dude it is broken. Elden Ring you can go grind and re fight the boss. This game needs a more accesible way to win boss fights. Might be why it got shitty reviews from fans.

For people saying oh it’s just hard and you have to beat it? Like what? No! Bro the boss should have a reasonable solutions no matter what. I don’t have enough health and ammo so I’m condemned to repeat the whole dame mission to try and preserve gear? That’s stupid. Make games that take the player experience into consideration. It should not be on the player to quit bc there are no solutions that is terrible period.

I love how no one in that room is on Volgins side, but can't really do anything to help Snake or they'll blow there covers. Definitely the best scene in the game.
